On Tuesday 27th February, guest Speaker Elaine Powell from the Speakers Trust delivered an exciting workshop to thirty Year 10 students. Part of the Jack Petchey Speak Out challenge, students spent the day learning about public speaking and developing their oracy skills.

Students took part in a number of challenges involving opportunities to express themselves in front of an audience. By the end of the session each student had a speech that they delivered to the group, with the top six students being chosen to go through to the semi-finals of the Jack Petchey Speak Out challenge.  The students will now have to deliver their speech during an assembly after which the winner will be chosen to represent the school in the Lambeth Finals competition.
