Cowfoot Prince

We were pleased to welcome back Usifu Jalloh, the Cowfoot Prince to take part in our Black History Month programme. Once again, Usifu used his unique combination of traditional storytelling, powerful drum music and song to engage the students in some lively singing and dancing during the lunchtime session, open to all year groups.

The bespoke workshop for Year 7 was a little more subdued!   He captivated the students with a number of stories within the context of an imaginary journey to his homeland of Sierra Leone. His inspiring storytelling gave them an insight and awakened their curiosity of the history, tradition and rites of the African continents.
